If there is no risk, there is no reward. When I think about all of the rewards that I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing this year (both in public and private), I realized that they all resulted from one thing — my willingness to take a risk. For so many reasons, we choose to play it safe and remain in our comfort zone. As a mom, it’s generally easier to take care of others before we even think about taking care of ourselves. And when you do make strides to treat yourself or put your needs first, it can be uncomfortable.
It’s been a week since my last post, and the longest time since I’ve gone without posting on my site since I started blogging almost two years ago. And while it made me uncomfortable, it was also necessary so that I could focus on some other things that needed my attention. I needed a bit of a mental break but also needed to focus on creating structure and putting new schedules into place at home, especially since we decided to homeschool this year. Often times, we have to readjust our priorities, and I have to keep reminding myself that it’s okay.
A lot of things I’ve accomplished this year were because I chose to step out of my comfort zone, and learn how to adjust priorities as they arise. If you’re a mom, I know you’ve probably also experienced getting caught up into a routine and not always carving out some time for yourself.
So I invite you to join me for a live teleclass tomorrow, Tuesday September 10th so we can chat about tips on how to abort your comfort zone so that you can start to live the life you really want to live. I will be joined by Tosh Patterson, where we’ll be discussing how to get comfortable being uncomfortable. We’ll be discussing things like:
- Taking Charge of your Happiness by taking charge of your destiny
- Moving from being frazzled to living a more fulfilled life
- How mom guilt can paralyze you from moving towards your goals
- Tips on making healthy lifestyle choices so you can work towards a healthier you
Check out this short video I created for you, and then be sure to join me on the call. If you’re unable to join the call but have a question you’d like to address, feel free to e-mail your questions to info @momsncharge.com no later than 12 noon on Tuesday. You also want to be sure to register even if you can’t make the call so that you can get a copy of the recording.
