Motivational Monday: Let It Go!

Like most little girls, our middle one is especially head over heels in love with Frozen. And she actually only saw the movie for the first time recently (but knew the songs long ago). So it’s no surprise that one of her Christmas gifts was a Frozen contraption of some sort. We got her a boombox disguised as a purse with a microphone attached. She can either sing along with the Frozen tunes or connect an MP3 to it, and belt the songs of her choosing.

If it’s one things I’m reminded even more now that I have to listen to it several dozen times a day, it’s to simply “let it go”. We can’t always control what happens, but we can always choose to control our reactions to what happens. When things don’t go our way, or when we have a really screwed up day, it’s easy for that cloud to hang over our heads. But it’s up to us to choose not to allow our own thoughts to “ruin a good today by thinking about a bad yesterday”. The more you keep repeating to yourself to let it go, the easier it becomes. And if you need a little help, Frozen is always there to help you 🙂

What do you need to let go of in the new year?

This is such a great principle! I have never seen the movie but I love the song especially since I am a fan of Idina Menzel! Your daughter’s gift sounds so cute!
