Happy New Year y’all!!! Can you believe we are officially in 2014?! Well I am so excited about the new year and making sure that taking care of myself is at the top of my list of priorities as a mom. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in the hustle and bustle that we forget our own self-care. We forget the importance of learning how to FLY (first love yourself). And if it’s not something that you’re used to doing, then it can be a challenge.
I created the Dare to FLY workshop series last year to help more moms practice better self-care, as well as to help them realize that motherhood doesn’t have to stop them from pursuing their goals and dreams. Are you ready to start a business, accelerate your career or even start a blog in 2014? I want you to know that you can absolutely do it! But it all starts with taking care of YOU first. What did you love to do when you had some free time before you became a mom? Believe it or not, a lot of moms that I work with can’t remember, or have a hard time answering this question.
So that’s why I created the 31 Day FLY Mom Challenge! I want to start the new year off right! Self-care does not equal selfishness. When you take care of yourself, you take care of your whole family. I know your time is limited which is why I’m only asking you to commit to 31 minutes a day for the next 31 days. We can do it, and I’ll be committed right along with you!
I posed a question on FB the other day: If you had exactly 31 minutes all to yourself, what would you do? Click here to see what many moms had to say, and where some of these challenge ideas came from.
It’s always easier (and more fun) to do these things with a buddy, so be sure to share with your mommy friends so you can hold each other accountable!
