As I reflect on my goals and my to-do list this upcoming week, and this quote kept coming up in my head: Be willing not perfect. Be willing to step out of your comfort zone. Be willing to take action. Be willing to ask for help. Be willing to take risks. Be willing to fail. Be willing to keep going even when you want to quit. Be willing to learn. Be willing to listen. Be willing to let go.
Last week I mentioned that there were many monkey wrenches that kept getting thrown in my plans. It’s so easy to focus on the obstacles when they keep getting in your way. It’s also easy to put your focus on making sure everything is “just right” before you launch a new product or announce a new endeavor, as opposed to focusing on just getting it done.
I’m currently in the process of making final preparations for my breakout session for this weekend’s Act Like a Success Conference with Steve Harvey (if you missed his live call last week, be sure to click here and listen ’cause it will bless you). I can’t help but think that all of this was made possible because I was willing to step out of my comfort zone, willing to take a risk, and willing to stay in action. I thank God for allowing me to trust the fact that I didn’t need to be perfect or have it all together. I just needed to be willing. So I want to remind you to be willing not perfect, and things will line up the way they’re supposed to.
What are you willing to do differently this week, so that you can take the necessary steps to get to where you want to be?
