9 Things I Learned While My Husband Was Away

Before we get started with the titled post, I wanted to share some extremely exciting news with you! This post that you are getting ready to read will be my very first post written for BlackandMarriedWithKids.com. I have been a fan of this website and the information/articles that they provide for some time. So to be given the opportunity to become a part of their writing family has got me doing all sorts of happy dances (picture the running man with a mix of the percolator…ok maybe not). It also gave me confirmation that God knows what’s in our heart before we even ask for it…He’s just waiting for us to ask.

Check out the next page to see just what it was that I learned in those 9 days…

This is such a great article. I have been in your situation and your remarks are 100% accurate. When your husband is hands on his absence is felt and the children NEVER give you sympathy because you are on your own. And in the end, you won the sleep versus laundry game because laundry always reproduces, but sleep does not. This was a very good and very amusingly told article.

Thanks Christine:-) This is a great article. I’ve had to sacrifice the laundry over sleep just to keep my sanity and believe me it was well worth it. I’m inspired by how you are doing it all. Even though us moms can do it on our own, it’s a blessing to have great husbands and partners by our side. Congrats on your first article. I look forward to reading many more great articles.

Thanks a bunch Neda! I completely agree with you. We can do it all but we don’t have to do it all and that is the beauty of it.

Awesome article! And I agree that the times when a crisis or unexpected event comes into our lives is when we realize just how lucky we are in our lives, what’s important, and what’s not. Congrats on your new role with Blackandmarriedwithkids!

Hilarious and so very true! It’s nice to have someone to give you a break sometimes (as I surf the net while hubby entertains the kids LOL).
